I knew Andy well back in 1998-99 when I lived in Tokyo and trained with him. I loved him as a friend and as an inspiration to never, ever give up, no matter what. The first few times we sparred at the Seidokaikan, I felt like I was hitting a brick wall - it felt like I just couldn't hurt him. "A Mind Of Steel" personifies the legend of Andy Hug and I was a proud member of Team Andy and I will never forget him and the spirit he shared with me.
